Us

We are a group of three students from King Henry Viii school, Abergavenny. We all have a keen interest in geography and biology, therefore we feel that this expedition will be a great opportunity for us all to enhance our knowledge in these subject areas.

OpWall

Operation Wallacea (Opwall) is a conservation research organisation that is funded by, and relies on, teams of student volunteers who join expeditions for the opportunity to work on real-world research programmes alongside academic researchers. (Information taken from opwall.com

Dominica

Dominica, known as the 'nature island' of the Caribbean is unlike the other islands in the Caribbean chain. Due to its mountainous landscape, Dominica has retained much of its forests and is home to a number of rare and native species. Dominica's landscape is also shaped by the geothermal-volcanic activity, from the nine volcanoes that form the island. This activity has produced interesting habitats such as the Champagne reef.
